Copyright and DMCA
How to tell us about material on our service that you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your material was removed.
Respecting copyright
AutoWorc respects intellectual property and responds to valid notices of copyright infringement.
How to send a notice
Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature
- the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- the material you believe infringes it, and where it is on our service, in enough detail for us to find it
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner
Counter-notices
If your material was removed after a notice and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice. It must include:
- your physical or electronic signature
- the material that was removed, and where it was on our service before it was removed
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified
- your name, postal address and phone number
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which AutoWorc may be found
- a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or their agent
Repeat infringers
We may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.
